PAUL SELING

The “Paul Seling” alias is my first one, focusing on genres like chillout, downtempo, chillwave or even synthpop. In the last years I started to integrate more and more a retro, 80`s infused sound, with vocal synthwave / retrowave influences.

The “Paul Seling” project is a colorful listening experience, drawing inspiration from all my musical history : from childhood memories of growing up listening to funk, soul or disco, to the last years listening to the most obscure indie bands. It draws on complex, rich harmonies, funky beats and some serious songwriting skills.

If you ever needed a playlist on which you could easily relax to or play in the background while working, the “Autonne” project could be a great choice. Lo-fi beats mixed with jazzy harmonies and melodies, all supported by a retro vibe, heavy sampling of old records, a vintage overall feel, you`ve got it all covered :)…

I created this musical alias to further experiment with sampling and samplers. drum machines and organic instrumentation. Somewhere between ambient, hip hop and jazz, it will make you groove from the first notes. Also perfect for an evening at home while cooking and enjoying a glass of wine.

Aniak is my project focusing on a darker side of electronic music, especially experimental, leftfield, sometimes minimal techno . I tend to work with this alias when I want to just release energy and have fun on uncharted territories. The “Aniak” music is dynamic, club oriented, yet groovy and refined when it comes to composition and sound design. I might often incorporate retro sounding drum machines and synths, while innovating in structure and bending genres. Highly recommended for a long night drive in a dystopian scenery or a late night warehouse party.

I created the “Photonnia” project as a place for free experimentation in all aspects of music production. Be it composition, rhythm, sound palette or song structure, everything is completely open and questionable. I could hardly define this project`s genre, it might be ambient, it might be electronica, IDM, glitch or noise or you could just find a full tribute to Kraftwerk or the Bladerunner soundtrack some where.

If you`re in the mood for imaginative, mind bending electronic music “Photonnia” could be a great starting point. Perfect for bragging to your hipster friends about, as it`s as “obscure” as it can get

While starting writing chillout and downtempo back in the early `00s , I gradually fell in love with the `80s revival scene, and integrated more and more of these influences. This lead after a few years of experimentation to the creation of the “Youthopian” alias which is dedicated exclusively to genres like synthwave, chillwave, retrowave or chillsynth.

The “Youthopian” project is mixing the vivid notes of modern production with the neon lit nostalgia for the `80s. I draw my creative energy from most of the iconic pieces of music of the era, from glam-rock to AOR, from funk to synthpop or EBM.

I created the “Autech” alias with the ambition to tackle with the club scene. It is also somehow dedicated to my college years when I used to groove along with the new emerging genres of the late `90s, like funky, deep house or nu-disco.

Of course, again, I needed to put my own touch on all these productions, so you might often find my personal attempt at these types of music. You might find this project eclectic, but it`s just part of my joy and enthusiasm of finally expressing positive energies and a look at the brighter side of life.
